He lurked a few houses down the street, leaned back in his truck. Tiffany sat next to him, arms crossed, pretty pink lips puckered into a pout. “I don’t wanna do this, Zed. This is gross.”

“You don’t have much of a choice, Tiff.” He laid his hand on her thigh, running his thumb back and forth across the silky, golden skin. She promptly jerked her leg away, staring out the window to the street beyond. “And this attitude problem has got to go.”

“Look, it’s one thing playing around behind my friend’s back. I mean, you guys aren’t even Facebook official again, so whatever. It’s completely different having me go into her house to get a fucking camera you put in there. What kind of a weirdo are you, Zed? I can't do this!" She was nearly shrieking, her already high-pitched voice piercing his ears.

“Stop screaming!” he demanded. “You think Charlotte would be tickled pink to hear you were fucking me behind her back? Facebook official or not? Isn’t that some kind of bestie foul in girlcode or whatever?” Tiffany’s silence gave him the answer he wanted.

“Well, if you don’t do this, I’m gonna come clean to her about us. You think she wouldn’t think twice about putting your business all over the Internet if she finds out?”

“Charlotte wouldn’t do that.”

“Sure she would. She’s a writer. She’s good with shit like Twitter, Facebook, blogging, all that great stuff. She’d put you on blast faster than my dirt bike picks up speed. I mean if you want your fifteen seconds of fame the cheap way, then walk the fuck away. I dare you.” He watched her face carefully, her lips pulled back in a tight grimace. Carefully groomed eyebrows drawn together, deep in thought. “All you have to do is go chill with her for a while. Whenever she leaves you alone in her room, get the camera. Put it in your pocket. Say you have to leave. It’s the photo of her fire-hooping.”

Carter jumped into the driver's seat of the truck, and peeled out of the driveway, headed toward his complex. Now was the time for Tiffany to do her bit in sealing his deal. My patience is wearing thin. “Go on, Tiffany. I swear to God, I’ll march my happy ass up there and tell Charlotte what’s happening with us. Right the fuck now.”

“Good God, fine, Zed. Don’t ever talk to me again after this. Like, ever.” Tiff jerked the passenger door open, jumped out, and slammed it as hard as she could, causing the whole truck to shake.

“You’ll end up paying for any damage you do to my vehicle, too. Keep being a bitch, and see what happens,” he called after her. His eyes followed her down the street a few houses, turning into Charlotte’s drive. Zed leaned back, and relaxed. With any luck, Charlotte and Carter had fucked each other’s brains out, and it’d be on camera for the world to see. If they don’t comply with my requests.
